New Bethel College Head Baseball Coach Rusty Thompson and his staff are pleased with the addition of Huntingdon High School’s Brandon McCormick. McCormick an infielder by trade, played two years at third base and his senior season at second.

Coach Thompson was pleased with the signing of McCormick saying, "Brandon is a solid ball player that works hard. I look for him to come in a work hard in practice and improve. He will have tremendous community and family support her at Bethel . We are pleased to be able to find quality players in the local community."

McCormick has had some quality experiences the last two years as the Mustangs have made back-to-back TSSAA State Baseball Tournament appearances and three of the last four years. For his career, McCormick batted .310, scoring 95 runs. He hit 19 doubles, two triples and three home runs. He also drove in 73 runs and had a total of 93 hits.

"He (McCormick) has been a big part of us going to state the last three of four years. Huntingdon is losing a good one and Bethel is getting a good one," said Huntingdon High School Head Baseball Coach Alan Eubanks. "Brandon earned this through his hard work and determination. His efforts every year paid off."
