McKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel College Wildcats remained ranked No. 6 in the latest NAIA National Football Poll.
The Wildcats received 317 points in the latest poll picking up four more than they had in the pre-eason poll. Although the Wildcats lost at NCAA Division 1-AA Austin Peay State University in Game 2 of the season, the Wildcats have shown well against NAIA Schools. The opening game of the season, they easily handled Webber International University (Fla.) 42-21. Webber had received votes in the NAIA preseason poll. This past Saturday, they dispatched Bacone College (Okla.), 42-18.
Bethel has a bye this week before starting Mid-South Conference West Division play on the road at Belhaven College (Miss.) 6:30 p.m. Saturday, September 22.
