Fans in Southwest Tennessee will get a chance to see six teams perform under the lights Friday, Aug. 24 in the Star Rehab Therapy Jamboree.
Kickoff is 6:30 Friday, Aug. 24 at Chester County High School. Admission is $5.
Hardin County will battle Bolivar to open the jamboree in a two-quarter match-up. Next will be Riverside against McNairy Central. Chester County and Adamsville will close the scrimmage.
"It's always very competitive," said Chester County coach Jeff Cupples. "The matchups are strong and we have some traditional teams and contenders."
Cupples said the goal is to match teams up where there is no danger of the two teams meeting up in the regular season. Also, Cupples had praise for the jamboree sponsor.
"Star Rehab Therapy has done a great job sponsoring this," he said. "We only have six teams this year, but they've already gotten two more teams for next year, so they've really done a good job."
Money from advance ticket sales will be kept by that school. The take at the gate will be divided between the six schools.
