Dyer County vs. Ripley football photo album (photos by Gale Cavness)

Ripley defender Jerrelle Blackwell (51) reaches high in an attempt to knock down a pass from Dyer County quarterback Adam Clark in Friday night’s contest in Newbern. The pass was intended for B.A. Davis (33) out of the backfield. Ready to make a block is Choctaws lineman Cody Rose (64). Blackwell missed his swat attempt, Davis made the catch and DC picked up positive yardage on the play.
Dyer County defender Jeff Miller (32) grabs Ripley’s Apollo Muex and hauls him down for a loss in early-game action at Choctaw Stadium. Miller and his defensive mates kept the heat on the visiting Tigers throughout the contest to post a 35-0 shutout.
Choctaws receiver Erick Bernard (17) makes his way into the corner of the end zone on the far sideline to give Dyer County an early lead Friday night. Despite the efforts of Ripley’s Leon Baltimore (5), Bernard hauled in the pass and worked his way across the goal line to cap a 49-yard pass-and-run play.
After hauling in a screen pass from DC quarterback Adam Clark, receiver Jared Hunter got around the corner, into the clear and raced 46 yards for a Choctaws touchdown. Hunter later tacked on a two-yard run as Dyer County built an early lead and coasted to a 35-0 victory.
Bruising ball carrier B.A. Davis (33) pushes his way past Ripley defender Chris Taylor (81) for a big gain up the middle for the Choctaws. Giving chase in front of DC blocker Adam Santiago (55) are Tigers Will Latham (54) and Garvin Bonds (91).
Dyer County receiver Gabriel Millan (9) caught a pass over the middle and turned on the speed to beat any would-be tacklers on the way to a 29-yard scoring run against Ripley. Millan also booted five conversion kicks for the Choctaws in the 35-0 romp.
Despite the rush of a Ripley defender, DC quarterback Peyton Lucas (13) stays focus on his receivers during second-half action against the Tigers. Trying to assist is Choctaws lineman Justin Scott (52).
When the evening was over for Dyer County quarterback Adam Clark (12), the senior leader took on the role of sideline signal caller for the coaching staff. Clark was 15-of-22 passing in the contest for 187 yards and three touchdowns.
