Visiting Dyer County got scored a strange combination of points and gave up very few to take a 14-9 victory Friday night at Haywood County.

The Choctaws got two field goals from Gabriel Millan, a touchdown run fron Eric McLin and a safety to secure a huge Region 7-3A win in Brownsville. The win gives DC a 2-0 mark in region play and pushes the squad's overall slate to 5-1.

Millan booted field goals of 23 and 24 yards, McLin scored on a two-yard burst and the Dyer County defense recorded a safety when the Tomcats bobbled a play in the end zone and shuffled the ball out of bounds to prevent DC from recovering the loose ball.
