County. Parker, who suffered a thumb injury in the pre-season, made his
debut in a Dyersburg uniform against the Tomcats and played a key role in
the Trojans double overtime win.

When Friday night's contest between the Trojans and Tomcats ended suddenly with an interception on the first play of Haywood County's second overtime possession, fans raced from the stands to celebrate with the team wearing black and gold. As DHS head coach Darren Bowling moved away from the crowd on the field, he was tracked down by his wife, Dawn, and greeted with a emotional and well-deserved hug. The embrace lasted for a minute or more while representatives of both teams mingled around them.

left Trojans mentor Darren Bowling somewhat exhausted and speechless.
With his troops around him following the double overtime triumph,
Bowling took time to gather his thoughts before sharing post-game comments.
