An interesting mix of eight teams will give area football fans a sneak preview of the upcoming prep season.
The Huntingdon Quarterback Club's annual jamboree will kick off 7 p.m. Friday, August 24 at Paul Ward Stadium and will feature some interesting matchups.
"We think we have some good, marquee teams, teams with a lot of local interest," said Huntingdon football coach Mike Mansfield. "It should be an exciting night.
Huntingdon will crank it up in the first pairing with old rival Martin-Westview. Lexington will take on Crockett County in the next matchup. Bruceton will play Hickman County in the third half of action. Hickman County, located in Centerville in Middle Tennessee, is coached by former Huntingdon assistant Eric Swenson. Camden and McKenzie will close the event.
Each team will play two quarters and tickets are $5. Advance sales receipts will be kept by the local schools. Proceeds from tickets purchased at the gate will be split between the eight schools.
