With Westview’s Emily Belote (11) running with her, Dyersburg’s Brooke Hubbard (27) tries to maintain control. Hubbard is a freshman member of the Lady Trojans roster while Belote is just one of two seniors on the Martin team.

After making a save in front of the Dyersburg net against visiting Westview, Lady Trojans goalie Mary Curren Viar puts the ball back into play with a swift kick. Viar, a DHS junior, was named to both the District 14-AA All-District team and all-tournament team.

Plewa and her DHS teammates bested Westview 5-0 in a home game and battled to a 2-2 tie at Martin in regular-season play, but it was the visiting Lady Chargers who captured the 14-AA championship with a 3-1 win.
